(Lunch at Lunch!)
In New York no summer is complete without a proper weekend (or two) had out east. Every twenty, thirty and then-some something departs Manhattan on Friday as if it’s the last day of High School. The rush is maddening but worth it because once you hit 29 you’re golden, going about 25 MPH you have zero cares in the world as you embark on a weekend of relaxation, sunsets, lobster rolls, beach bonfires, poolside chilaxing, BBQs, ample glasses of Wölffer Estate rosé and live music for days. These are those long summer days you live for.

For those fortunate enough to be heading out East for the last weekend of summer I’ve compiled one idyllic itinerary for any weekend and included a round up of specific things to do over Labor Day weekend! Happy weekend babes! xx A
Grab a kickass breakfast smoothie at Naturally Good Foods
Following a day at the beach head Wölffer Estate Wine Stand for one of the most enjoyable Friday nights. The picnic blanket filled lawn is packed with fellow urbanites looking to get a little fresh air just like you. Go and enjoy live music, rose for days (literally you’re at the vineyard they cannot run out!), snag a picnic and watch the sun go down behind the vineyards.
Hit up a workout class with Wellthily at Gurney’s Montauk, there is absolutely nothing better than a yoga, barre or spin class on their deck overlooking the infinite view over the ocean (You may recall my recent post on my weekend here with Wellthily, if not check it out here!)
Following class definitely grab the avocado toast and a dirty chai at Corso Como, sit outside and enjoy the view from the deck.
Often times Gurney’s has pop up shops on the weekends from Mara Hoffman to cool swimwear brands.
Hit Ditch Plains for a calm day at the beach and to catch a few surfers doin’ their thing. Post beach make a quick pit stop by Tacombi’s east end outpost for a delicious rita and a bite or two of quac.
Enjoy dinner Moby’s then head to Surf lodge for a sunset that dreams are made of.
Grab your sunnies, toss on a hat, act like you aren’t hungover and get thyself to brunch at Navy Beach
Swing by The Montauk Beach House to shop their array of pop ups including the witty gals from Poolside who are stocking some of the coolest brands out there including those whitty beach bags that are well …. just that damn good!
Head to Crow’s Nest for a beautiful end to the weekend, not to mention another lovely sunset. While you wait for your table make sure to pop down to the beach bar to grab a glass of wine and curl up in one of the beds. Talk about heavenly!
Before you head out of town consider driving to the farthest point on the island to see the lighthouse and walk among the rocks on the beach
Swing by Lunch to grab lunch and of course a lobster roll but more so to snap a picture in front of the adorable sign (Admittedly this is not the best lobster roll out East. Most would say it is at Sole East and that I will not disagree with!)
Hit the Amagansett Farmer’s Market to scoop up some road trip provisionals from local fruits to scrumptious baked goods and a great iced coffee
To finish out your long weekend out east hit Montauk Hwy on into East Hampton to peruse the little shops and scoop up a few unnecessary items at one of the many boutiques.
What to wear?
Aside from the obvious of not wearing flats I’ll let you in on my secret weapon. I’m swearing by Village Luxe this summer to practically quadruple from closet and keeping me from a major relapse with shopaholics anonymous! (kidding kidding) But Village Luxe allows me to rent incredibly chic designer pieces like this Chloe Drew bag or those stop-traffic earrings from closets of some of New York’s best dressed ladies. You can rent Reformation’s gorgeous numbers (like this one that I wore to the epic Hamptons Pink Party) to dreamy gowns and Chanel handbags. You can rent pieces for a week or two, making this the perfect solution for all of your upcoming trips!
