To the Max

JAP_AN_123We are officially in the dog days of summer. It’s those dreaded days where it’s so hot your head starts spinning and you can’t wait to walk into any place with the AC blasting and you want to avoid the leather seats in your car at all cost because you know that you’re going to burn you’re a$$ if you’re in anything short. Enter my hot Texas summer life saver, the breezy maxi dress. I snagged this maxi from Lulu*s for $49 (what?!?!) and paired it with short wedge sandals.

And when it is so hot out, I cannot stress this enough but save yourself the time of doing anything to your hair, it will fall and it will wind up looking as though you just left a spin class. One of my favorite fixes is to create a quick easy braided chignon. I literally did this in the car by whipping out three small tightish braids and pulling the rest of my hair back in a messy bun. I then wrapped the ends of the braids around the bun, secured with bobby pins and done.

Perfect for another day in Texas bopping around the Bishop Arts District.

This Printed Maxi dress from Lulu*s, which is under $50, is sold out but you can get on the waitlist HERE!
