The Strategy of Layering a Blanket Scarf

`
Street Style, WIW, Style blogger, MadewellThe weather here in NYC has been so unpredictable that I haven’t even switched my closet to full on fall mode yet. One day it’s 73 and sunny, the next a blistering 42 and overcast. I just wish dear Mother Nature would make up her mind so until then I’ve busting out the styling tricks to create looks that work in any situation. Prime example, I wrapped this crazy cozy blanket scarf around my neck, belted it over a suede dress, a boho cross-body bag and added OTK boots for a look that took me to work and happy hour without having to add a coat.

Style Tip: Let’s be real here. The blanket scarf is a vital accessory. It is basically a portable layer tool so that I don’t have to lug a coat with me when it could hit 70 in the afternoon. Added bonus? You can practically wrap yourself up in one of these at your desk and not look like you’re rocking a snuggie!
