The II Travel Diaries: Apple Picking in Warwick

apple picking, road trip, nyc, fallOne of my favorite day trips to take during the fall is to head out of the city to enjoy an afternoon of apple picking, cidering and of course fresh baked apple cider doughnuts. This year, Alyssa, Meg and I headed to Warwick to spend the afternoon at their annual apple festival. On what had to be the most perfect fall day we bopped around the festival enjoying BBQ sandwiches, antique shopping and sweet treats followed by a stop at the Applewood Orchard and Winery for a pound or so of apples! Make sure to leave a little time here to sip on their fresh cider and snack on a few homemade apple cider doughnuts too!
