Pencil It In

Leopard slip-ons, Quilted leather skirt, Pencil skirt, Cross-body bag, Chunky Sweater, Navy Military Coat

I love a good pencil skirt, especially one with a bit of personality but so often people steer clear of this silhouette because they either think it’s too stuffy and “corporate” or it simply “doesn’t fit their body type.” I can understand and relate all to well that last very valid point, but you just need to know how to work it. A pencil skirt in my opinion is a gorgeous style on a girl with curves, flaunt what your mama gave you! Another brilliant positive on the skirt is that it’s versatile, taking you from work to cocktails with ease. I dressed mine down for a Sunday brunch with the girls followed by a little flea market endeavor with a cozy sweater and my favorite pair of slip on sneakers {seriously, they’re great no?}

I can guarantee you that you’ll be seeing a few pencil skirts in my rotation come spring and warmer weather and I just might pair it with a crop top. Wait, who am I kidding. That’ll definitely happen.

So I’m challenging you to give the good ole pencil skirt a try if you haven’t yet. You might just be pleasantly surprised.
