Cinco de Mayo & the Adventures of Carlos

Thanks to my Texas roots Cinco de Mayo has always been a bit of a “holiday” in my books. May 5th isn’t just a day that the Met Ball occasionally falls on but a reason to get together with friends, drink a delicious salted rimmed rita, take down as much Tex-Mex as possible and wear vibrantly colored ensembles. So while I wasn’t in Texas this year to enjoy the festivities I was able to have quite the time with my fellow NYC blogging gals Alyssa from A-Listed , Lauren from PR Blonde  and Stef from Style Safari for an afternoon of shenanigans on the LES that wouldn’t be complete without a stop by Tacombi’s Fonda Nolita. Check out A-ListedPR Blonde and Style Safari for more pics of our adventures with Carlos around town and of course deets on their outfits!

Carlos might not be prince charming but I guess he’ll do for now …

Pretty obsessed with this handmade brocade tunic dress, this crochet rope necklace that I used as a belt and these black roped bracelets all made with old Mexican coins from Jaline Designs.
